(YB) Shou Ren defeats the Bright Necromancer (Rini judged)

I do believe that it's also time for new hands. (This may actually be the first time I've ever remembered that on my own Sarah!)

~Bright Necromancer's hand:
1: The ki-rin drifts upon the canyon; completely grasps the storm of the sickle!

2: The southern cross parts the city; waves away the tempest of the pole!

3: The whip slashes in the midst of the wastelands; parts the roar of the shell!

4: The manticore appears through the dungeon; shields the chaos of the sky!

5: The lightning ravages the pillars; shreds the energy of the lash as it grasps the quickening of the sands!

Shou Ren's hand:

1: The phoenix strikes within the temple; waves away the energy of the holy ground!

2: The silver dagger sinuously overwhelms the castle; parts the blood of the crevice!

3: The lightning flies from the beach; guards against the violence of the iron!

4: The southern cross crushes the ravine; leaps over the descent of the isle!

5: The southern cross leaps above the clouds; shields the kick of the venom!~

 

[Jeph]

The whip slashes in the midst of the wastelands; parts the roar of the shell!

The necromancer conjurs a whip of dark energy and lashes it at Shou Ren!

 

[Ciaran]

Congealing the morning light into a silvery blade, Shou Ren severs the dark whip, then hurls the blade at the Bright Necromancer.

The silver dagger sinuously overwhelms the castle; parts the blood of the crevice!

 

[Rini]

::Rini grimaces as she continues to watch Shou Ren beat Bright Necromancer down.::

[Ciaran]

Shou Ren draws a scarlet feather from his pouch. Muttering a cryptic phrase, he breathes upon the feather, and it bursts into flame! In an instant, a bird of fire spreads its wings before the masked wizard, protecting him against his foe's potent energies. Then, with a musical cry, the firebird launches itself across the arena at the Bright Necromancer.

The phoenix strikes within the temple; waves away the energy of the holy ground!

 

[Jeph]

The lightning ravages the pillars; shreds the energy of the lash as it grasps the quickening of the sands!

Bright Necromancer traces a sinewous, glowing rune in the air, which springs away, now a dark lightning, to strike the fiery bird from the skies!

 

[Ciaran]

(Damn it! I forgot that I have Dirty Trick and so am supposed to go second.)

 

[Rini]

What a pretty birdy...

[OOC: this is not going well, in a 'yet another horrid loss' sort of way. ]

The ki-rin drifts upon the canyon; completely grasps the storm of the sickle!

The necromancer conjurs a mist of shadow, and quickly shapes it into a giant, horned mount, which charges at Shou Ren! It leaves a storm of energy in its path, to divert any spells that Shou Ren may throw at him!

 

[Ciaran]

As the Bright Necromancer gathers his shadows, his masked opponents traces a circle in the dust and, standing within it, chants an invocation to the spirits of the heavens. Strange gleams gather in the sky as the Necromancer mounts his horned beast. And a moment later, a handful of fiery lights plunge from the heavens, directly into the path of the mounted mage!
