Ratasal
Silver Sash 3
6-1
Yen 10
Copper Sash: Profiteer,Arena Fighter,Signature Style (Raven),Bribe Judges
Silver Sash: Signature Location(Village),Bribe Judges, Master of Wealth,

"I'll fight you. I find your daughter to be sickly, your sky to be unbearable, and your foot to be amateurish."

My sky to be unbearable? I, who am a member of the Dojo under the stars? I, who am learning the ways of the sky itself, with the Southern Cross and NorthStar styles? You will find more than just my sky unbearable!

(I find your son to be lickspittle, your keep to be unusable, and your discipline to be bad.)([grammar nitpick] - lickspittle is actually a noun. It should be "I find your son to be a lickspittle." [/nitpick])

Though you found a whore to make a son
He fawns at your approach like a toady
To his unworthy master.
Your castle is fit for no one
It's decor is far to gaudy
Guests arrive slow and depart faster.
And in conclusion, it must be sad
To have discipline that is so bad.

The words of the two fighters hang echoing in the air, waiting for a judge to arrive and determine which has more sting.

An aged man totters over. He leans on a silver-shod walking stick, and his blue silk kimono is embroidered with a golden ki-rin. A chubby little boy follows him with an armful of flags.

"Merak Spielman," he says, "by insulting your opponent's discipline, you insult all that he is as a warrior. You may choose the nature and length of the match."

I choose a judge-generated strategy match for 3 flags.

I have never fought somebody following the Path of the Yen. This should be interesting.

The flag boy thrusts three tall flags into the earth.

"Very well," says the old judge. "The ancient masters have decreed this match to take place at the tombs east of the Graveyard of the Undying on the dawn of the lizard. Now, I shall proclaim the hands of moves with which you shall begin."

Merak Spielman's Hand:
1: The southern cross carves the tundra; shreds the touch of the tree!

2: The west wind bows through the tower; reduces the thrust of the bone!

3: The raven gracefully obliterates the glade; defends against the assailment of the maze!

4: The blizzard rains upon the waterfall; dodges the gaze of the horn!

5: The lizard flies close to the marsh; dodges the offensive of the maze!

Ratasal's Hand:
1: The snake sucker punches the tombs; negates the edge of the farm!

2: The whip shouts before the village; silences the pain of the horn!

3: The scorpion invades the castle; avoids the foray of the blade!

4: The unicorn blasts the ravine; reduces the violence of the settlement!

5: The whip spins near the brush; shields against the drive of the iron!

OOC: That's right, I go first... Chi Strike...

(1: The southern cross carves the tundra; shreds the touch of the tree!)
Chi Strike!

To start off the fight in favor of me
I invoke both the power of Chi
And the grace of the Southern Cross-
'gainst which my opponent will be at a loss
And be carved like he was tundra
before the glacier's thunda'.
He will be shredded before the might of the tree
The oak, the ash, the sycamore, ME!
