A young samurai clad in green and gold steps down into the arena.

“Good morning,” he says politely. “I am Haru, of the Fox Clan, and I should be honored to test my skills against your own. May I ask your name?”

Name: Kitsune Haru
Rank: White Belt
Record: 0 wins, 0 losses
Powers: none
Items: none
Yen: 0

"The name's Ryan.... but everyone calls me Tiny..... (He is a VERY VERY large man.. 6'3" 385 lbs or so....)

"Ok if you accept...lets do this then!"

I find your spouse to be unbearable, your temple to be ordinary, and your inner spirit to be awkward.

"It is a pleasure, Ryan-san. I look forward to crossing blades with you in honorable combat."

I find your guard to be malodorous, your dojo to be unbearable, and your pride to be bad.

A scarred and grizzled samurai appears, clad in the flared hakama pants of his caste. After taking a moment to observe both opponents, he speaks.

"Greetings, warriors. If it is acceptable, I would be willing to witness this test of might."

"Mediocrity is far worse a fate than infamy - one's reputation should always precede them. And no warrior's technique may prosper under the withering storm of an unbearable spouse. Tiny-san, you may choose the length and nature of this battle."

"I ask for a 3 Flag Standard Speed Match please good Judge...."

"Your record is the better of ours to Haru... you I belive are first...."

"A three flag standard speed match it is. Indeed, Haru-san, with your superior record, you shall strike the first blow."

Nekokaburi raises one foot and reaches within the hakama to fetch a weathered scroll, which he unfurls.

"Now prepare yourself, warriors, for <b>The ancient masters have decreed this match to take place at the pillars north-west of the Sea of Stars on the dawn of the scythe.</b>"

The kanji on the scroll begin to burn, and disappear in small clouds of smoke and ash, and the air blurs momentarily, to reveal the pillars.
