Kalath strikes the Rat easily and it falls to the ground. Almost immediately its body starts to froth and ooze in places. It appears to be slowly turning to slime. As the body melts, Kalath sees that strangely enough, there is a single yen caught in between two of the monsters fangs.

The tunnel continues around the bend and seems to slope down slightly just past the rat-demons body.
