This is a continuation of my What's Left post, from the three main 1E monster sourcebooks. This post covers the 2E Monstrous Compendiums, and what’s been done with them. Rather than do polls for these, I just decided to simplify and post it straight out. Left out were anything covered in the previous post, anything in an official book, and anything here at the Creature Catalog.

yeah krish, that would keep me busy till the end of time. you were right about the histachii (i knew it was somewhere, but forgot where) but as for the werebat and mist wolf, these may be different creatures with the same names... i'll have to check that out.

the kyrie. hmm, if memory serves me, they were a race of Krynn of humanoids that appear like celestials. not sure just what they were, but i can look it up when i get home.

kyrie are the bird people from krynn, ... kinda like aarokokra (sp).

boz: Draconians got an official conversion in the end of Draconian Measures by Don Perrin ... lacking a spell list of course ... follows

(Auraks): Arcane Spell Casting: 6/7/7/6/4 Preferred Males’ Spells: 0th: detect magic, light, read magic, daze, ray of frost, mage hand, ghost sound, resistance; 1st: enlarge, shocking grasp, jump, magic missle(4 missles/spell), sleep; 2nd: detect thoughts, flaming sphere, blur; 3rd: blink, lightning bolt; 4th: Wall of fire . Treat all spells as if cast by an 8th level sorceror. DC 14+spell level, or 16+spell level for magic missle, flaming sphere, lightning bolt and wall of fire.
Female Auraks have a different list of preferred spells: 0th: dancing lights, ghost sound, detect magic, detect poison, mage hand, flare, light, mending; 1st: color spray, jump, burning hands, sleep, obscuring mist; 2nd: misdirection, blur, flaming sphere; 3rd: major image, stinking cloud; 4th: Phantasmal Killer. DC 16+spell lvl for color spray, major image, and phantasmal killer.

Arcane Spell Caster: Bozaks cast spells like a 4th level Sorceror. DC 12+ spell level. (6/7/3) 0: detect magic, light, read magic, resistance, mage hand, Daze; 1st: burning hands, enlarge, Magic Missle (2 missles/spell); 2nd: web.

wolf, you're right about the kyrie. they're similar to aarakocra, but they have humanoid faces. by the description i gave, i was thinking of the Phaethon.

Many of the Dragonlance monsters have been coverted at the Dragonlance Nexus, which is/was the official Dragonlance 3E site.

So why aren't some of these already converted things in the Catalog. It's annoying to have to search the message boards to find them.
