Here's Order of the Stick #406, where Miko attacks Shojo, the ruler of Azure City and the Sapphire Paladins. In your judgement, should she fall from paladinhood or not?

I think it's too late

If she was a PC in one of my games, I would have temporarily stripped her of her powers but I would not make her a fallen paladin outright, which IMHO is almost always an irreversible thing.

But in the strip, I think she should, otherwise Belkar doesn't truly get his wish...

Of course, speaking as a DM, I wouldn't have her lose her status just to annoy the PCs. Only when they overly complain would I reveal that her paladin powers have been fueled by evil ALL ALONG!

I think he's doing something more sophisticated than that: All the various interpretations of paladins by players and groups each represent the differing views the paladins themselves have. Miko has obviously taken the inflexible irritating paladin stereotype to heart.

We've seen other paladins with other intrepretations. Rich isn't pandering to paladin-haters, he's just letting Miko represent one interpretation of paladinhood.
