D&D 5E young justice campaign

This may seem like an obvious answer already but I’m going to ask the question since the answer isn’t obvious to me

wheb you say you want to rub a young justice. campaign, what exactly does that mean?

does it mean it has to be superhero themed but d&d stats? With unique characters and lore and bad guys allowing more freedom and ownership for the players and you

is it just the idea that it is a bunch of side kicks (‘don’t call us side kicks’) that run covert missions for a bigger well known public guild of heroes? In which case need to have good reasons why the bigger heroes aren’t doing the jobs baked right in from the campaign get-go

is it that you want to run young justice characters and lore and bad guys specifically? Even for the PCs? Which will take some pc building and agreement as to how certain heroes are built as there might be disagreements on what classes and combos represent heroes better

If you want to use the d20 system, then you should use a mash-up version with nerferd characters, or maybe a different leveling up where the PCs don't become stronger (not more hit-points and attack+save check bonus) but something like unlock slots of a talent tree (for example feats).
