I'd like to replace one of my old lecturers. He's a great guy, he's led an interesting life (though I wouldn't like to move around the world as much as he did - research trips would do me fine, thanks), and now he holds a personal chair at the University of Sydney, in an office where the walls are made of bookshelves.

I want his job.

I'd prefer to be filthy rich and everything. But as I have rather simple needs, I'd invest lots of that money in medical research. We don't have enough of that.

More on the realistic side, I'd like to be a successful videogame designer and programmer.

Ninjas are and will always be the original. And by original I mean totally awesome.

Cranky old curmudgeon in a unabomber style shack, shaking my fist angrily at "those damn kids" walking by and reminiscing about how much better it used to be.

And probably whittling.

Pretty much what I do now. Archaeological survey in the summer, looking for sites in northern Canada from a boat. Hunting and fishing, learning Cree slang, and cooking caribou fajitas on a Coleman stove. In the winter, lab work, conferences and beer; the standard unholy trinity of academic life. Have enough money for single malts and the occasional Cuban cigar, and gaming every weekend.

Oh, and invent a better way to dispose of bodies and sell it to the Mafia. :]
