Your favorite drink / snack?

Instant coffee is an abomination unto the Lord.

That is all.

Amen.

Hey, amid all the talk of healthy eating and drinking on this thread, I would keep in mind that the Enworld average age is probably substantially older than the crowd that's likely be hanging out in your store. The "healthy bug" doesn't tend to bite you 'til you hit your mid-30s.

Soda, apple cider, lemonade and beer (try and keep this to about 1-3 each for a serious game) and anything else that taste good. Same goes for snacks we're not very picky.

Did any of you guys go to GenCon like ... two years ago, I think it was? There was a lonely booth with mixes advertised as "Grub for Gamers." It was amazing stuff from this little company called Tastefully Simple. I mean amazing stuff, and it's just dips and bread mixes and stuff. *drools at the memory*

I've been meaning to get myself some grub for gamers since then ... *shrug*

So that's my recommendation on food. Crackers or Triscuits or something would also taste good with the dip.

Whenever I make snacks for my gaming group I usually make cookies or tacos ...

Tea goes away very quickly at game time. If by some unusual circumstance I have soda then that goes. Though honestly the drink I just can't get enough of right now is Sparkling Grape juice. yum yum yum yum

Now that's hardly voluntary, is it :)

Vanilla Coke or water are the (cold) beverages of choice for me. Coffee and hot tea are some other favorites. Sandwiches are good, but only on non-crumbly bread, as that'd screw up the table and books. Sticky snacks are also a bad idea, for obvious reasons. I like...well, actually, I'm not a huge fan of snack foods, but Doritos or Chedder & Sour Cream ruffles are good.

You eat Doritos but have a cow over a few bread crumbs?!?!?!!

We usually have coke/pepsi, sprite, cheerwine to drink.

As far as snacks: pretzels, Hershey's kisses, Twizzlers, Smarties candies, potato chips, veggie chips, veggie trays (broccoli, cauliflower, baby carrots, celery (ICK!), cherry tomatoes with dip).

Doritos don't spread crumbs all over your gaming accesories :)

Did you know that using 5 or more exclamation marks is a sure sign of mental disorder? You're on the edge, there.

I remember these folks. It was really good stuff!

Gaming is when I loose all control of my snack urge. Noramly, I do pretty well about avoiding crappy food, but on game night, I just sit and eat the chips or whatever is in the bowl on the table until they are gone. I am a weak, weak man. *sob*

So I am on topic -- banannas! They are cheap and come in their own wrapper.
