Your favourite level to PLAY at?

I think Driddle's just upset because he started the other poll that is being labeled confusing yet the subtext of this poll is just as confusing.

While it does say "Your favourite level to PLAY at" in the title, it also says "What level is your favourite to play or DM" in TerraDaves post.

And if get a little confused by the subtext you go to the title. End of confusion. Personally, I don't think the threads are confusing, I think people are just over thinking and purposely making them confusing for themsleves.

Eight level is where the PC's are at the height of their martial prowess, right before raise dead and teleport fall into their hands to diminish the spirit of adventure and exploration.

I voted 6th in both polls.
I think that is where players really start getting a feel for their characters.

I can't choose just one level. I can enjoy play at any level I think. I of course have my favorites, but it is more of a range than a single level. I think the sweet spot is 5th to 12th or so. But again, I can really have fun playing at any level.

Level 6 is the perfect point to be because you can have 5 levels in base classes and 1 level in a prestige class.

I picked 12th level as I like the high end of the "sweet spot" in 3e. I agree though that about 4th or 5th to about 12th level are the most fun.

I picked 12th.

Can have the cool abilities by then.

Can face the cool monsters like demons and liches by then.

And iterative attacks are still only a minor nuissance when it comes to dragging out combat.
