While I think that most gaming sessions are homebrew, there's quite a bit of published adventures with critical acclaim. But there's only so much time in our lives to dedicate to playing them all, so inevitably some fall by the wayside.

I'm interested in hearing from EN World what are their top adventures they're keen on running or playing. I have a few of my own, keeping it short for my "top ten." I already ran Curse of Strahd, because otherwise I'd include it.

1. (Basic D&D) Keep On the Borderlands: One of the most iconic adventures in D&D's history, yet one I never got the opportunity to experience. Would love to cross it off my bucket list. Would run, already know the spoilers.

2. (D&D 5e) Dungeons of Drakkenheim: Dark fantasy sandbox set in a ruined city afflicted with eldritch horrors. Would run, already know the spoilers.

3. (Pathfinder) Kingmaker: Pathfinder's most popular adventure path, where the PCs colonize a stretch of wilderness to found their own kingdom. Would run, played in it before and know quite a bit of spoilers.

4. (D&D 5e) Adventurer’s Guide to the Bible: An innovative sandbox adventure set in the 1st Century Middle East, where the PCs have to find the Messiah and thwart the ambitions of demons. Would run, already know the spoilers.

5. (D&D/Pathfinder) Zeitgeist, the Gears of Revolution: Fantasy Victorian-style settings are a niche interest of mine. Heard many great things but never got around to reading the adventures beyond the general setting. Would run or play in.

6. (Dungeon Crawl Classics) Sailors on the Starless Sea: DCC is one of the systems I most want to try someday, and where better to start than the adventure that started it all? Would run.

7. (OSR) Waking of Willowby Hall: Another adventure that gets high praise, has a very neat concept and dynamic dungeon. Would run or play in.

8. (Call of Cthulhu) Masks of Nyarlathotep: Even non-CoC players have heard its praises. A full length globe-trotting campaign connecting an international series of clues to a greater conspiracy. Would either run or play, more likely play.

9. (Call of Cthulhu) Horror on the Orient Express: Call of Cthulhu's other big adventure. Would play in, looks like a lot to run for a system I'm not as familiar with.

10. (13th Age) Eyes of the Stone Thief: A dynamic megadungeon that is a mobile living super-entity the PCs can run across over the course of a campaign, like a recurring villain. Would run.

I’ve run and played Strahd. Run and played Keep what seems like a dozen times. Run and played Sailors, it’s absolutely great.

I generally run homebrew and sandbox games, but Horror and Masks are on my list. Willowby Hall as well. The absolute top of my list is WFRP’s The Enemy Within. Stone cold classic that I’d love to either play or run. I keep hearing people mentioning running it with Dragonbane lately. Might have to look into that. Speaking of, The Secret of the Dragon Emperor and Path of Glory for Dragonbane look great. Especially Emperor. It’s the sandbox of location-based mini modules included in the Core Set. And thanks to Whizbang, The Stygian Library.

I've got two: Gradient Descent for Mothership and Deep Carbon Observatory for LotFP. Was hoping to get Gradient Descent going in the New Year hols but couldn't find a time that suited everyone, bummer.

I have a deep desire to play in The Fall of Delta Green (rule set + campaign). For D&D, I'd like to play the new Spelljammer campaign all the way through. We started it, but due to some real life issues (our DM was hospitalized for three months), the campaign fell apart and we never returned to it.

I am currently reading through "The Undying War" from Troll Lords (Castles&Crusades, but I think there is a 5e version as well). It's a big one! I also have Empire of the Ghouls (Kobold Press), Stars Without Number, Shudder Mountains (Goodman Games), Ruins of Grendleroot (@SlyFlourish) and God knows what else. Too many games, too little time...

I never ran Red Hand of Doom and keep hearing how it is in the top 10 of everyone. I might not want to do the work of combining the original with the 5e conversion and then adding it to Forgotten Realms. At some point it feels easier to make my own.

(3e) Red Hand of Doom. Reads amazingly. Would love to play in it.

(3e) what’s the one about the Drow invasion? That always seemed fun to play in.

(4e) The non crappy HPE adventures as a player.

(Esoterrorists) Worldbreaker reads quite well. I’ll probably run this soon!

(Trail of Cthulhu) The Armitage Files. For about 1/3 through as a GM and was amazed at my ability to improvise and my players’ tolerance for my improv! Would like to go back to it someday.

PF1 Hells Rebels AP and Id play a Vigilante.

Starfinder1 Void campaign which I believe is sort of a Kingmaker version for SF.
