While we're talking about that era, would love to see Moorcock's Eternal Champion (finally) attempted.
The real question on that would be which/how many EC incarnations. I mean, Elric is the obvious choice, followed by Hawkmoon & Corum.

But a Jerry Cornelius series could be wild. It would probably HAVE to be on one of the pay channels.

This is a tough one. I know we spend a lot of time talking about bad adaptations that veer away from their source material, but there are plenty of examples where veering away from the source material was the right thing to do. The Boys, Men in Black, Kick-Ass, and Preacher are all examples of adaptations that strayed mightily from their source material and was better for it. Which beloved franchise of mine do I sink money into and how faithful am I to the source material? That's a lot of pressure. No wonder Hollywood execs go for sequels, remakes, and warmed over franchises.

I'll go with BattleTech. I think you can actually use the source material to produce a decent science fiction movie that has something to say. It'd be a war movie of course, but it doesn't have to be a mindless action movie.

I’d also pitch Barbara Hambly’s Benjamin January Mysteries, even though they’re one of her non-fantasy series.

Some tell great stories, others would simply look good on TV or the big screen. Some would do both.

There’s also some that have already been done that I’d like to see REdone, but I don’t think any of the ones I’ve mentioned have been tried.

Agreed. But that said, they should definitely pick one or the other and stick with it
 



I think it's time to nerd out in a different direction: theatre.

Let's start a movie series dedicated to Broadway and off-Broadway plays, adapted to the screen for the first time.

Release a new musical once a year. Non-musicals interspersed. For continuity and humor, keep the same conspicuous background actors and chorus (folks like Erik Charles Nielsen, Lindsay Hollister, or James Hong) as much as possible, but have the main cast be new as much as possible.
