To be honest, though I explicitly mentioned Bili the Axe, it's Sir Geros I'd be more interested in.And depending on how close to the books they get, they may see a lot of Bili the Axe and some of those he travels with.
I would love to see them do it right, though for me the movie wasn't that bad.Barsoom - certainly a failed thing to redeem
Maybe start with a movie based on "Nor Crystal Tears" and then do a series?Flinx and Pip series
Apparently Amazon was looking at making a Ringworld TV show a couple years ago.How about mining some Larry Niven Known Space stuff? Between the Man-Kzin Wars, Puppeteers, Ringworld and Gil “The ARM” Hamilton, there’s lots of different stories that could be retold or created.
oh yes that would be awesome. I haven't thought about those books in years. Would be an awesome Gamma World setting as well."The Horseclans" by Robert Adams. A simultaneously post apocalyptic and medieval world. Telepathic steppes nomads, in the American Prairies, and their telepathic sabretooth cat companions. Manufacturing centres of the eastern US turned into fiefdoms known for their excellence in the production of armour. The world is ready for Bili the Axe.
Paraphrasing: "They burn their croplands with nuclear fire? Are they insane?!"I'd love to see Larry Niven's Footfall done as a one or two season series on netflix. Aliens with superior technology but lower numbers land on the earth and start taking it over because they've had to flee thier planet and come to take ours. The book does a great job early on making you see the things the races have that are similar and different. Lots of misunderstandings lots of unnecessary problems simply due to each side assuming things. I envision the aliens about 300 years in tech ahead of the expanse. The only thing Humanity has going for it is numbers.
Or something continuing from Battle For LA. a weekly War show with the same group of marines doing a mission of the week during the Human alien war after LA. Something like the old Rat Patrol where each episode is a self contained mission in the ongoing war for the US.
I've had plenty of fantasy. I'm ready for some good non horror scifi.
