Zeitgeist Games Product Schedule?

Morrow

First Post
Its been nearly three months since Zeitgeist Games announced that it would be publishing Blackmoor material. Have they released any information about what products we can expect and when they might be coming? Any information would be appreciated.

Hi Morrow,

Thanks for showing some interest. Tried to post this when I saw the thread this morning, but couldn't!!!!

We have been a little quiet of late, but we are hard at work. I will give you some insight into what we are doing. I will try to update the page to reflect some of these things as well. :)

We are working dilligently on the Blackmoor sourcebook. This book will be approximately 250 pages and will serve as the foundation for campaigns in Blackmoor. We also plan on releasing several followup books to support the campaign setting, centering on interesting races and areas of note in Blackmoor. This book is internally slated for completion by Late Feb/Early March of 2003.

We have been approached by several companies regarding licensing Blackmoor for some additional products, but nothing is settled at this time.

In the next week, we will be posting a gallery of work from our artists to give you guys some light on how things will look.

We are working hard to make this the best book that we can. We really are proud of the work we have done and want to make sure that the readers will feel that the book is worth the wait.

Cheers!

Dustin

Yeah, I'm looking forward to this too. I'm really only familiar with the Mystara version of Blackmoor, which is a somewhat bastardized version of the original.

Will this have any info on the City of the Gods? Or that spaceship that crashed? (Beagle, I think it was).

Hey Guys,

Lots of work has been done and continues on expanding some of the more popular areas of Blackmoor including The City of The Gods and the Dungeons of Castle Blackmoor. The original modules are definitely going to be updated and converted. We are actually using them to playtest some of the new classes and PrC's created in the book. I can't be too specific just yet, but I will have a nice update for you on the webpage in the coming weeks. :)

You cannot imagine how I am anticipating this sucker...

Question: Will there be (either as part of the main sourcebook or as a supplement) a presentation of the "Rogues, Regents, and Rascals" - you know, write-ups (not just stats, but the "stories") of such luminaries as Marfeldt the Barbarian, Svenny, the Iron Duke, Fletcher William, and so on? I would love to get my hands on those types of write-ups - maybe a page or so dedicated to each of them? :)

Certainly many of the famous characters from the Blackmoor setting will be represented in the upcoming products. We have made adjustments to them a little to make them fit in with the world by modernizing them just a bit. Blackmoor wouldn't be Blackmoor without the Egg of Coot and The Fletch! :)
