Pathfinder 1E Zeitgeist Pathfinder: Player count and group makeup

I'm looking to start my campaign soon but I'm having difficulty filling some seats and roles. So far I only have 3 players, also noobe wants to play a healing role. I just want to know the lethality of combat in the pathfinder version and can a group of 3 with no dedicated combat healing survive?
