Zen and the art of Piecemeal Armour

a few Questions

is there anybody out there who has created piecemeal armour rules for 3.0 or 3.5. especially with Armour as DR? Could you help me by letting me peruse those rules?

Alongside that, has anyone got any quick but comprehensive Hit Location Tables.

Can anyone give me a breakdown of the Dodge and parry in Conan RPG? I am keen on knowing the math breakdown of the progressions?

Thanks

Ocelot.

Just use a different armour type. Piecemeal full plate -> breastplate, piecemeal chainmail -> chain shirt, etc. Unless you have detailed hit location rules, which go against the hit point model anyway, comprehensive piecemeal armour rules just aren't worth the bother.

There was a conversion of the 2E piecemail rules on the old conversion page. They were slightly modified to take into account that the Breastplate/Mail shirt didn't match-up with the older document (both pieces are more protective than was the case previously).

Since the piecemail rules were essentially nothing more than breaking each part down by percentages, it shouldn't be too hard to apply it to the 3E rules yourself.

In the old Conversion Library there was a conversion of the piecemeal armor rules from the 2E Complete Fighters HB.

It was done for 3.0 and standard armor rules so it might take a bit of tweaking for using it with "armour as DR", but then, I haven't seen the UA rules yet.

[EDIT: This is the very system Krieg was talking about, of course.]

Hope this helps!
