ZEITGEIST Ziggurat of Apet: Trap before map

As per the title, while delving into the Ziggurat of Apet, my players went right rather than left, and so explored the eastern side of the Ziggurat first. That led them to the final room with the false seal where they triggered the mummy/flooding trap. Now they're rushing for the exit while fighting mummies everywhere; which makes me nervous for a TPK. But, even if they make it outside to confront the Voice of Rot, how will they know where to find the next ziggurat without having visited the map room?

Any suggestions for avoiding a TPK against the overwhelming number of mummies, or resolving them not knowing about the next ziggurat?

checking my 5e book, the mummies use lower CR versions that are only in specific rooms. i wouldn't worry too much about them causing a tpk unless your party is very worn down already or not very good at combat.

as for the map room, even the section on the map room says the players don't actually need its info. caius' room has a map of lanjyr with the ziggurat's location already marked (and the players can easily figure out it's another ziggurat because the ziggurat they just visited is marked the same way).
