Zombie Dice creators notes

I crit!
This stupid little game has got me hooked. It really meshed when our group started to roleplay the zombies and making up stories about what was going on.

Tons of fun in a quick little package.

Reading the designer notes prompted this post. I appreciated the link to other dice games that sorta inspired this one.

It just occurred to me, what if we played zombie hunters? Instead of collecting brains we were collecting shotgun blasts as killed zombies and the brains represented zombie bites, get three and yer out. The feet would be the zombies getting away.

I wonder what the odds are, I think they would be heavily stacked against the zombie hunters which might be perfect.

We used the cylinder, and the bottom popped off once. Since James Wyatt was rolling, it was extra funny. James is the nicest guy in D&D R&D, but I like to imagine he's actually a giant ball of rage.

It's funny that I keep seeing people talk about roleplaying the zombies. We did some of that, along with describing the people the dice represented. It's more fun when the green die that hits you with your third shotgun blast is a fat boy scout looting a 7-11 for Twinkies.

I'll probably make the game part of my GenCon survival kit. I might transfer the contents over to a dice bag (along with Cthulhu dice) - that's a good idea.

Did you say Twinkies?
