News of a Winter Wolf terrorizing all who dare explore the harsh terrain between the Forgotten Keep and the Haunted Halls has carried south from Eveningstar to
Suzail.
"The beast was first sighted two and a half months ago in the company of wolves numbering at least twelve," according to Naneesa Merritree, Awakened of Lathander and priest of the House of the Morning in Eveningstar. "Tall as a horse. A coat as white as snow. Eyes the color of
Fire. Its pack slaughtered a band of adventurers not long before I left for
Suzail; the wolves kept half to eat and forced the rest over the cliff [north of Eveningstar] to die from the fall."
Naneese told her tail to other guests enjoying their morningfeast at the Dragon's Jaws Inn, where she'd spent the night after arriving late yesterday to
Suzail.
"Lathander will welcome the hunt for that wicked creature, mark my words. Two Awakened were among its victims."
