An unknown sponsor has sent agents into
Suzail to seek the services of reputable adventurers to mount an expedition to the northern shores of the Lake of the Long Arm.
Talk among adventurers has not revealed who the sponsor is, but it has shared the destination for the expedition: A fallen keep, or possibly a tower ruin, that straddles the gap between the Lake of the Long Arm's western flank and the eastern edge of the Giant's Run Mountains.
The sponsor's agent promised a fastsail cog and crew to adventurers brave enough to make the journey as soon as the ice melts in
Suzail's harbor. The cog will remain anchored across the Lake on the city of Nathlek's docks after the adventurers are dropped off, and return a tenday later to retrieve them.
Just what could be in the ruin remains a matter of speculation. For their part the sponsor, whomever they are, believes precious tomes of knowledge have been lost beneath the cellars of the ruin, which must be recovered at any cost. Whatever gold, gems, or treasure is recovered is of no interest to them.
