SHILMISTA -
Tethyr - Folk arriving from the south—especially the elves—are abuzz with excitement.
While rumored for more than 40 years, an ever-tighter alliance of the elves of Shilmista and
Tethyr has been officially acknowledged with the announced Midsummer wedding of Mirthal Aendryr, duke of Durmista, and Ivaern of Adosuor’s Glade.
While the duke had long avoided remarrying after his first wife’s 14th century death, his work with the elves of Shilmista to bulwark and defend the border along the eastern Tejarn Hills brought both responsibility and love to
Tethyr’s Scoutlord.
The wedding, a relatively small affair kept among personal friends and close allies, became noticed mostly by the magical lights that wove among the western copses of trees cultivated over the past century to physically link the Forest of Tethir and Shilmista.
The lights stayed lit throughout the two-tenday-long-wedding fete, the groves and the trade road out of Riatavin through Shilmista safer for that duration.
