You begin the long trek back to the ENventurers' Guild. As you go, you feel the magical benefits of your loot dwindling to nothing. Odd, but any weapons or armor you have seem unaffected by their distance from the Ruby Ruin, and retain their powers.
Samael Silren meets you at the Guild. He's happy to buy anything that you're looking to sell. But if you're going back to the Guild to recuperate and continue the quest to defeat Grelok, Samael will put your loot in his Magical Styrofoam Preserver, which prevents full drainage so that your items can regain their power upon returning to the vale of the Ruby Ruins.
If your quest is complete, gain 1 XP for defeating Grelok, 1 XP if you met Samael while carrying your maximum capacity of gronds, and/or 1 XP if you explored with at least 4 different allies.
