Considering the Jedi was an order of force practitioners (like the Sith)... a new order of force sensitive beings can now be created.

All those failed Jedi Knights, and Grey Jedi can now be called... the Order of the Mouse!

But on a more serious note, the bring balance to the force, not just between Jedi and the Sith, but between force users and force sensitives, and everyone else in the universe. Is that not what the "Chosen One" is meant to do?

So what better way to bring balance to the force than having Luke as the Last Jedi, and Rey being the first of a new line of force-users. Just my theory.

Last Jedi/First Lensman? Any news on Disney acquiring the rights to the works of E.E. "Doc" Smith?

It is certainly a striking title. My brain is all over the place now. Must be patient for the trailers.... MUST. BE. PATIENT.

This is supposedly the full text of the crawl, from "The Force Awakens":

Episode VII
THE FORCE AWAKENS

Luke Skywalker has vanished. In his absence, the sinister FIRST ORDER has risen from the ashes of the Empire and will not rest until Skywalker, the last Jedi, has been destroyed.

With the support of the REPUBLIC, General Leia Organa leads a brave RESISTANCE. She is desperate to find her brother Luke and gain his help in restoring peace and justice to the galaxy.

Leia has sent her most daring pilot on a secret mission to Jakku, where an old ally has discovered a clue to Luke’s whereabouts….

Something that got noticed on Twitter was the fact that if you combine Episode 7's title with this you get a complete sentence. The Force Awakens The Last Jedi.
