[sblock=OOC]Gotcha! But why'd you have us all roll, then? That 16 could've gone to something that was actually important! (Just giving you a hard time, of course, and indulging my natural inclination to gripe :lol:)[/sblock]
[sblock=Mowgli]
Obviously, I had you all roll because just having just the elves roll would immediately give away that there was a secret door somewhere. And, yes, your griping is world-class, as always. :p

"This Karr fellow has a real fetish for secret doors. I'll bet his underclothes are just full of hidden pockets with spell components inside." She munches on some dried fruit from her bag as she considers. "Do we see what's behind the door or continue the passage."

OOC: Maybe you could let Manny find all the secret doggie doors or mouse holes since he's down there anyway. Might make him feel better. ;)

Tylara's question hangs like the Sword of Damocles over the wizards as they indulge in a moderately acceptable snack.

Tylara stands ready to attack any foe that might be behind the door or chide Kerlan for his failure should the door remain closed.

Shoot! (Chute!) A Secret Door!

Kerlan opens the door and revels a five-foot-square space that is a chute that leading down a distance that you estimate to be 20 feet, and you can tell that the chute enters a larger room ten feet below the level of the passage you are in presently, because the northern, southern, and eastern walls are recessed some unknown distance. Affixed to the western wall of the chute is a series of handholds/steps that leads all the way to the floor, so descending using these will be a fairly routine operation. [Climb DC 5.] [The chute does not extend upward past the height of the ceiling.]

[For any of you who've seen Troy from "Swamp People" on the History Channel: "Chute 'im, 'Lizbeth, chute 'im!" :) ]
