Ugh math is hard and I am thoroughly confused. In my mind half my HP (1d8) is 4 plus my Con modifier of +2. So in my mind at lvl 5 J.R. would have 34 HP. If that is incorrect I will just roll the die. Let me know.

The short version (assuming JR sticks with a 1d8 Hit Die):
At 1st level, JR gets full HP
At 2nd level and all even levels, JR gets 4 HP + Con Mod
at 3rd Level and the remaining odd levels, JR gets 5 HP + Con Mod

(8+2)+(4+2)+(5+2)+(4+2)+(5+2) = 36 HP

ETA: The reason it works this way is due to a die not having a 0 face. Consider the results of 1d4: 1, 2, 3, & 4. If you take the average of those values (i.e. (4+3+2+1)/4), you get 2.5 rather than 2. If you were to add a 0 value (which division accounts for), you get 2 (i.e. (4+3+2+1+0)/5).

I've been wanting to ditch the d20 Modern Wealth system for a while now. Today, Forged Fury asked in the IC if we could, and honestly his asking sealed the deal for me. There's just no good way to implement a Wealth DC-based system for equipment acquisition given that ya'll are at the beck and command of the FCC, and are ex-cons and therefore have no funds of your own (because your assets were seized by the asset forfeiture program once you were convicted). I am therefore moving us to a cash system. You each, as previously mentioned, receive a stipend from the FCC of $3,000 per month. If you need equipment or to purchase something, buy it out of your stipend. Please do a reasonable job accounting for your purchases in the RG from time to time. I'll be the first to admit I won't usually double-check your math. I spend a portion of my work week toting sums thousands of dollars down to the penny, so I have absolutely no interest in doing so in my gaming. I trust all of you. If someone's purchase raises an eyebrow, I'll inquire, but otherwise let's just roll with a cash basis and move on.

Please use Google to look for items costs, then discuss with me on an as-needed basis. The hardcover and (I think) the SRD should also have conversion tables for switching from a Wealth DC to a dollar cost.

All good with the wealth change. I can't imagine T-dawg spending a lot either way... he's going to end up with a mattress stuffed full of cash (I imagine we get paid cash, as I don't think we can open bank accounts as convicts).
