EN World The ENWorld PbP Massacre Discussion

It's hard, yeah...but I do believe that Morrus and the Enworld crew did everything they could to try to contain the damage here. The standards of a big professional outfit probably can't be reasonably expected to be matched by a niche hobby website. :(

Even if it's OUR niche hobby website. :)

Depends on the game, From Nobles to Knights would be be easy to start anew, as i know you had just finished the beginning vampire fight, and the Level 20 Monster Hunter Guild campaign is still happening(though relisting and re-pricing all that stuff is gonna suck). I'm also definitely still doing the Evil Campaign, but I don't think you were in that one.

We were using that one 'sane pricing guide' PDF for the magic items, yeah? If so, that simplifies the matter of pricing greatly, I'd think. I think my local copy of the sheet doesn't reflect some of the recent changes I'd made, but I can fix that easily enough.

Yes that, but I meant the Guild Hall Thread essentially, though we don't necessarily need that quite yet.

As a user you could take it into your own hands and set up a script to curl your game threads nightly or something. I wouldn't want to automate this to any degree that would cause the website to slow down or something, but I imagine something like that is within reason.

Well, as they say, The Show Goes On.

I, too, lost just about everything for games I was participating in or running. Dirge Of The North is basically gone, aside from a few notes outside of the site, I had everything here. I'm unsure what to do with it at this point. I may try something in a similar style after I get my feet wet again. Thankfully that one was not exactly pages deep into plot.

Not my first experience with an RP site that suffered something like this, and that group recovered and continued on afterwards. It does suck, but at least the board is not completely gone. My main concern is mostly for players that had their accounts deleted and so truly did lose everything, much like myself: it's hard to pickup and carry on after that, but we shall, with as much borrowed British stoicism as is possible.

Creamsteak, good on you for making a topic like this to gather up and sort it all out. Maybe we can adjust the first post as we get more information to show who is still running games from The Crash and who is still interested in participating? Roll Call, if you will.

Unfortunately I was new enough to the forums that I've lost literally everything I ever posted and had on these forums. I don't blame anyone, these things happen. But I think I will be delaying my Adventures in Middle Earth game for a little while. I'll return to it sometime soon, but I'll need some time.

Jago it looks like you lost your whole account

I did. However, this gave me a chance to streamline my name, so I'm okay with this, lol.

I'm not. But I am.

But I'm not. Went from a Level 10 Veteran in 3 months back to a Peasant. Ah well, C'est la Vie.

Lv draining attacks are a thing....
