There are the dwarves of Dawnforge (by FFG, anyone remember? ), an old and prosperous culture. But that is generally the way in Dawnforge, it is a setting where all the great nations & empires are forming, before the inevitable decline which many fantasy worlds depict.

I'm having an argument with a friend about Alchemical Silver, and i'd like some help from the sages around here... His claim is that is can be applied to a weapon (kinda like a template), so he can take his +3 rapier and pay 90 gp and consider it from then on to be alchemicaly silvered. I argue...

I'm sorry... huh?!? So that all the referee/DM/GM has to do? come up with random locations and situations? Just a series of random encounters and fights? Am I understanding you correctly? What's the incentive to go on adventuring? What's interesting in coming back to a world that just throws...

I'm kind hoping that all the angels and demons thing is part of Max's psyche... And anyone who played the game knows that Max's psyche is completely screwed up...

The Conan RPG (Mongose) has a Mind Battle mechanic. Ture20 also has a mentale grapple (or something like that), which is in essence mind battle.

I liked the back-and-forth between past and present...

My fix was to make it a constant.

A friend is playing a Wizard and is constantly on the look to creating magical items. He asked me a question: Can you create a "Cloak of Mage Armor" (or whatever you want to call it)? So that creating such an item, according to the formulas for creating magic items in the SRD will cost 2000 gp...

There are several versions that I know of: 3.3, Revised & Simplified, and 4.0. 4.0 is kind of a meshing of the two first vesions, sort of trying to take the best of the two and make it into one. I'm attaching the Revised and Simplified version. This one has the "life pips" as he called them...

I had the same problem. But as Generico said, you need to enter exactly what the line say: only the numbers, or letters, or black letters... don't remember exactly now...

Don't know if it'll help. But when i tried to get my plyaers to connect first time with the IP number, they couldn't. So i had the program give me one of those random 4 words "addresses" and everyone connected easily...

RangerWickett, I just wanted to say that that sounded like a great way to end a campaign. I think it takes a special kind of player to sacrifice his/her character like that.
