I just noticed that everlasting provisions (Player's handbook) costs 840 gp and feeds and waters 5 people, whereas the endless canteen (Adventurer's vault) costs 4200 gp and provides just water. Am I missing something? Did one of these get errata'ed?

Can a character use the heal skill on themselves to either give themselves an immediate saving throw or a +2 to their next one? The skill description doesn't seem to suggest anything one way or the other. Seems reasonable to me ("stop drop and roll"). Any thoughts?
