I simply cant figure out what AoO is good for. All it does, is slowing down the game with the DM (me) looking into the rulebook, every time AoO occurs. :o So do you think its okay, for me and my group to simply cancel every rule about AoO?

We started a few months ago playing D&D, im the DM and it goes well... except for the the fact they are hardly roleplaying! :( Theyre goal is to complete the adventure, accomplish the mission. Not to roleplay! How do i get them to? Just subtracting XP everytime they dont roleplay? But that aint...

What can a DM do when the party arrives at a metropolis? You need to invent a name for every person they meet, invent prices at each tavern they come too and tell them which weapons the smith has in his shop. ITS IMPOSSIBLE!!! At least to me, it has happened more than once the players laughed...

I would like to buy a city with maps and so on, but i cant find any. :( I dont want an entirely new campaign setting like Windhaven, just a city to my own campaign. Can you recommend one?
