Converting Marvel Superheroes to M&M Rules

Here is the tentative plot that I will be using:

Module 125: “Avengers Assemble”

INTRODUCTION:
Ilma, warrior maiden of Ukko, will approach the Silver Moon Adventurers who need a favor from Odin and Zeus. She will state that both have egotistical sons who are often “dumb as stumps”. They had taken up the practice of “slumming” on a mortal world called Midgard, joining a team of heroes called The Avengers. A pair of megalomaniac villains has recently captured them both. These villains are out to control the planet’s weather, and therefore needed to capture the Thunder God plus a weather-control hero named Storm (Hercules got captured just because he was with Thor at the time).

The Silver Moon Adventurers will be sent to contact the Avengers and mount a rescue. Ilma will tell them the approximate locations of the hostages. Ilma cannot send the Silver Moon Adventurers directly to Midgard, but she can open a doorway an alternate dimension that another team of Midgard heroes is currently probing so has a doorway open to it.

SCENE ONE: Negative Zone
The Silver Moon Adventurers arrive in the Negative Zone. Both Annihilus and Blastaar will then attack them. A battle will follow. When necessary the Fantastic Four will arrive for a timely rescue.

SCENE TWO: Avengers Mansion
Sue Storm will bring the Silver Moon Adventurers to meet the Avengers at Avengers Mansion. The two teams will meet and deduce what is going on. To mount simultaneous rescue missions they will split up into two teams of equal number, each comprised of Avengers and Silver Moon Adventurers.

SCENE THREE: The Hellfire Club
The first team will only head five blocks away to rescue Storm. Unfortunately they will have to fight both her and several other heroes and villains who are being mind controlled by The Controller. If the Controller or any of his slaves manage to escape they will join the climax battle in scene five.

SCENE FOUR: Adirondack Mountains
The second team will follow clues that will lead to a confrontation with the Hulk. His presence here is simply a coincidence, however Bruce Banner will remember seeing a guarded army-like facility in the area. This is a former base of the villain Apocalypse, now being used by Dr. Doom and Magneto.

SCENE FIVE: Climax Battle at Apocalypse Base
The group will take on the villains and a small army of mercenaries and robots. The main objective will be to rescue Hercules and Thor.

Hello again,

A few months back some posters to this thread gave me some great links to M&M character sheets of Marvel Characters. Unfortunatley those posts vanished during the board reboot. If you could post them again I would really appreciate it. Thanks.

not so much conversion rules, but a plethora of Marvel (and even DC) heroes as stated by the two acknowledged "Masters of Stats"

BARON's Create a _____ 2nd edition thread

MDSnowman's Big Thread of 2e Coonversions

They've got the Marvel iconics and several "bit" characters as well. Both have stated adamantly that their philosophy is "spirit/essence of the character," and that they don't try to emulate every little detail a character has done in the comic book appearances.

Those are two excellent threads for Marvel and DC character write-ups.

As far as doing your own conversions; decide on the PL that you think the character should be and then build the character from there trying to get as close as you can to the feel of the character. All in all, that's a better way to go about "converting" Marvel and DC characters compared to relying on any straight-stat conversion system.

Bumping thread again for quick reference - doing a DC crossover game now. Looking specifically for a "Mutants and Masterminds" Character Sheet for Hawkman and Hawkgirl.

I've made Marvel heroes and villians using 3.0 and 3.5 DnD rules. Something I created for Con games. The characters are on Word with Text Boxes so I can't copy to here. Hawkeye was a level 17 character.
