So what is our plan?

It's about sunrise, do we do a quick scout before it gets light out, and try to take down some game?

That would give us enough time to properly feed ourselves and the goblins, have a short training session (some of the patrol), teach the reading goblin how to take inventory/schedule (some others of the patrol), and catch a good rest before nightfall. This also includes time that the goblins would be sleeping that we could be planning, because we take a shorter time to be rested.

I don't want to lose any of our goblins, so until they are decently trained, we may want to leave them behind for the bloodshed. Having them do the work after. i.e. we could take multiple caravans that passed. We quickly make short work of a caravan, the goblins take all the stuff inside and reset the traps/hiding places/decoy, then we take down the next unaware passerby.

We could also have them posted as forward scouts, on each side, that way if a caravan was coming up while we were mid-kill, we would know. And we could have forward readings of the upcoming caravans.

Depending on the supplies and "new recruits" we cull from our first day, things may get interesting very quickly.
