DT's Saga of the Dragon Cult (Standing Stones)

Rosalia backs off as the magical static builds further, and the lightning bolts stop and are replaced by a hail storm that miraculously avoids impaling any of your characters. The large priest does not pursue Rosalia, but instead closes his eyes once more and completes his previous chant. Suddenly a greenish light begins to glow from the pillars, and the half-orc's eyes flutter open with the same emerald magic. He roars with victorious exclamation and then shouts "Garland's Fork!" to a flock of fluttering ravens. A large raven is in their lead third, mixing it up with the rest, but cawing loyally to the priest as it travels. It's almost impossible to keep a bead on it in the mess and confusion.

"You are too late! Too late! Pyraxus the Mighty will rise once more!"

Scrag roars and attacks shortly after this declaration, but misses.

It looks as if the priest set a familiar loose who was hiding in a nearby flock. The creature is off to send a message to someone.

Something is not quite right. You believed that you were coming here to stop a summoning, but that now seems wrong. This place is constructed to support divination magic, and that of nature druids. This place is reacting to the priest's chaotic powers forcing the pillars to reveal the secret location of something important.

OOC: The party catches up to Rosalia and now it is just you versus the priest. Rosalia up.

Grok, Half-Orc Cleric 4, and Brick, Small Earth Elemental

Grok does not have an effective ranged attack, so he casts Divine Favor on John (another +2 attack and damage for 1 minute)

If Brick has arrived near Rosalia, he will attack her foe (Slam +6, damage 1d6+4). Brick's attack, just in case:

Rosalia was hoping to distract the priest and his ritual but it seems to be too late.

She spots the departure of the ravens including a larger specimen who seems to obey the priest.

With John's prompt, she realizes that she must try to stop that flight. Immediately, she raises her shortbos and fires at the raven!

The attacks on the raven fail to hit, though some feathers fly as others in the flock are either struck or dodge erratically. And with that, the flock flows over the nearby trees and is gone.

Several of your attacks completely miss the priest, who takes the opportunity to take a step back and cast a spell at Roque.

OOC: Roque must make a DC 15 Will check or be held by a Hold Person spell. Forget initiative since everyone is just fighting one guy, who just made his move. Everyone up now.

Roque's advance on the priest comes to a sudden halt as he freezes in mid stride. The business end of his flail continues to swing pendulum like from the upraised haft for a moment, but Roque seems to be stuck fast.
