I think it could be a good idea to set up a bit more Orussus, draw a map and try to place at least the district. No need to draw every single building on the map, but something that will set things so at least teh distrcits stop to move around.

… Thinking about making a small vignette to help clear some traffic from the RDI and was wondering about placement for what I'm considering.
I have an idea that would help with that and would like to see what kind of interest there is…
Since this is a living world, would anyone be interested in the prospect of a gambling hall in Orussus? Somewhere characters could go between ‘quests’, with games that are entirely dice based and rolled through Invisible Castle?
THE VENUE
The venue would be located in Orussus in a separate topic. The first post of the thread would outline a description of the gaming hall, in addition to what games are available and the rules for each. A character would enter the gaming hall, just like the RDI, only if they are not in any other location.
The character would then organise a game with 1 or more other characters OR an NPC that is specific to this location only, i.e. an NPC created purely as a dealer/player with no other function. Once the game and amount is agreed, those involved would roll opposed checks using Invisible Castle, posting details and a link to the roll. Winner takes all.
For convenience, players do not adjust their character sheet until they leave the venue, at which point they tally their wins/losses and edit their sheet.
At it’s simplest, a few coppers would change hands and there would be some cheap entertainment for those waiting for an adventure and complaining that there isn’t enough to do. At it’s most useful, a character with almost enough money to buy that brand new weapon or armor may just be able to tip their bank account over the line and make it count. And, it would provide a few more options for character background etc.
GAMES AVAILABLE
(These might need a suitable name ^_^)
Characters would need to discuss the amount to be played each turn for any game.
Simple Opposed Check
All players roll a D20. Highest number wins. Even results in a draw or dice off.
Pairs
Players take turns rolling 2D6. A player who successfully rolls a pair wins the agreed amount from all others involved.
Sevens
Players take turns rolling 2D6. A player who successfully rolls a seven with any combination wins the agreed amount from all others involved.
OR, any other simple variation that is fair for all.
OTHER DETAILS
Players would still need to make themselves know at the RDI in order to be included for any prospective adventures.
The gaming hall could function like a normal casino with a house advantage, but I think that would deter people from playing.
There is always the option of making things more involved, such as incorporating Profession: Gambling or Bluff skills into things, but that would not be necessary and would most likely result in a whole heap of rogues and bards only.
I would be more than happy to organise and maintain this thread. Though I think that it would largely take care of itself.
