D&D 5E How to turn D&D into a Video Game

I'm wondering how people will be house-ruling it in the meantime?

As with most things that are obviously broken, I just won't be allowing it into my game. It saves the need for house ruling at all.

If someone wanted to research a spell that worked in such a way - which really only makes sense for wizards, but whatever - then I would say that it heals 1d8 (+ability modifier) and could only affect each person once per casting. That brings it into line with Prayer of Healing.
