The last two fall down, following the others into oblivion. The only movement that remains is the twitching of the old man's body, still convulsing as if he lived, even though such a frail person couldn't possibly have survived the blows just taken.
Suddenly, the old man's body breaks, lifted by a strange, unknown force! The skin's tore down, exposing meager muscles and old bones. The mouth opens, and the eyes disappear as if eaten by their orbits! A colorless tendril, stained by blood and filled with digested viscera, jolts out of the corpse, trying to reach out for Marius! It's soon followed by another tendril, and another, revealing the horror that the old body lodged: a massive ooze's released, and it charges against the monk, wetness grabbing his limbs as it goes! Pieces of bones and flesh fly around as the soft mass twists into a raging devourer.
[So, yes, he WAS dead... But the thing inside... Not quite so! And now it attacks! It's trying to grapple Marius, and it scored the attack. All normal defenses are applicable. Just roll for perception, everyone, so counter-measures and initiative actions can be taken before the attack, as usual.]

Archon, Marius CMD is 22, if he is grappled he uses the above roll to get free and moves away from the creature. Just a reminder that pathfinder doesn't have opposed checks, but an attack against combat maneuver defense

[Yup, I considered the move as automatic, but I figured you might be faster than that, in case you rolled dex or initiative before the blob. It's... pretty slow.]
Marius lets his legs loose once more, rolling away as the mass glides over the body, slowly crossing the floor to reach the heroes once more. It's slow, but quite persistent, bearing the tints of blood and now digested internal organs from the old man. Clearly, it lodged itself inside him, causing his deterioration - quite the unheard move for an ooze to pull.
Aside from the slow creature, the way is open for them to leave. But when they figure things would have calmed down, sounds of conflict come from above...

"I didn't expect to use this, but I believe in being prepared."
He throws the vial at the ooze. It splashes next to it instead of onto it, but his experience with all things exploding manages to burn the thing and avoid everyone else regardless of the miss.
