Round 3
Olaf Luminar, Human Fighter 9

As the golden glow in the cathedral heals those that weren't killed outright and another enemy falls before his blades, Battlescar notices the now undead crusaders converging at the base of the stairs to the raised altar. In an act of supreme clumsiness, the fighter gets his feet tangled in the body he just dropped which fouls the aim of three out of his four swings. Once he finally frees himself his squarely hits one of the new enemies in the neck with a back swing. He tries to shake it off as all part of his wind up for the critical hit. "Careful men, the footing is getting a bit...tricky?"

Valinn thinks that he is wasting his time with the prelate but he intends to maintain his energy body anyway, so standing by him is probably as good a place as any. The gold light takes him completely by surprise. He is not sure who or what cast it but he quickly adjusts and assumes that whoever it was assumed their protection. This leaves him free to continue the attack.

Unfortunately by this time, the creatures have dispersed and another channel will be useless, so he needs to come up with a different tactic.

Having decided that its no use picking the creatures off one by one, Velinn reviews his area of effect spells and decides that the only one that fits the bill is holy smite. Which he casts, trying to get as many creatures in the area of effect as possible.

[sblock=OOC]Valinn is currently at T42.
Currently Velin is targeting Holy Smite at S55 but he may re-target depending on what happens before his turn[/sblock][sblock=Daily Resource Tracker]

Before he can actually cast his spell, the foes start to cluster in front of the altar. Rather than totally re-think his action, Velinn re-targets to get has many foe in the spell as possible preferably without any friends.

Olaf trips yet recovers his footing strong enough to dispatch one foe with a single blow. Moru begins to shift his sphere of flame towards the oncoming pack and catches several in it's area wheras Valinn unleashes a blast of holy fire that consumes 4 of your foes outright. Karvin moves downward to take a supporting position as the remaing demon spawn converges on your position.

I was waiting for the parties actions..
The last post was of the the party severly hitting their foes and the remaing ones converging on their position.

As the spawn begins to converge the forward party members find themself almost to melee. With the approach of them towards the altar the golden light begins to come forth once again from the altar.

OOC: I don't know their ACs so only rolled 2 sets of dmg. Might want to poke the thread if it goes dead for more than 2 days in the future. I got confused by your last post, and didn't understand it was our turn.

Valinn decides that the spawn is not near enough to make him change his tactics and so he casts another Holy Smite spell. By this time, he believes that the spell will not effect his companions and so just targets the largest grouping of enemy regardless of whether any friends are in the spell's area.
