Probably. It’s old enough that- even though it’s a sci-fi classic- it may not have the same kind of global exposure of later American sci fi releases.

OTOH, on American TV, I’ve probably watched it at least annually for the last 40 years.

Must have been a case of Selective Amnesia (as mentioned in the series. ). I haven't thought about the 1988 series in decades. Then I see your post about the 1953 movie, and then I remembered the series.

I think there were other syndicated shows around the same time pushing the envelope. Friday the 13th the Series is another one I remember. Makes for a decent Call of Cthulhu campaign.
