This one's actually pretty easy to combat.

Violent Thrust: Alternatively, the spell energy can be spent in a single round. You can hurl one object or creature per caster level (maximum 15) that are within range and all within 10 feet of each other toward any target within 10 feet per level of all the objects. You can hurl up to a total weight of 25 pounds per caster level (maximum 375 pounds at 15th level).
You must succeed on attack rolls (one per creature or object thrown) to hit the target with the items, using your base attack bonus + your Intelligence modifier (if a wizard) or Charisma modifier (if a sorcerer). Weapons cause standard damage (with no Strength bonus; note that arrows or bolts deal damage as daggers of their size when used in this manner). Other objects cause damage ranging from 1 point per 25 pounds (for less dangerous objects) to 1d6 points of damage per 25 pounds (for hard, dense objects).

Note the limit of 1 object hurled per caster level, max 15. So, this elven caster would have to be using a custom version of telekinesis that didn't have the "maximum 15 objects" limitation and would have to be somewhere around 200th level to throw the 200 daggers.

Rebuke would be pretty funny too. Especially if they command him to CDG himself. Lich template is like 5-8 LA, so this is not inconcievable.

Lich has a phelactary. Ask him to destroy it and then remove his own head. Effective CdG. Don't take things so literally.

Don't use a game term to describe an series of unrelated actions and people won't take it literally. :heh: "Kill himself" would probably have ben a better choice of words.

On a related note, dose not an obviously harmfull/suicidal command break the effect for intellegent undead? I'll admit I'm pretty rusty on the rebuke/command rules.

[EDIT] But youre right that IS a funny thought. :D

We're still using 3.0, not 3.5 because I don't believe Hasbro deserves the extra money to buy the same books with just a few changes...and in 3.0 it doesn't give a limit on number of items, just weight, and 25 lbs per level for a 20th level caster is quite a few daggers.
