Shadowrun I: The Take-Out

Bayushi Akado, nicknamed 'The Bull' because of his massive set of horns, stood cross-armed outside of the front door to the Neon Blue Apocalypse. He'd been shunned by his family after he became a troll, and soon found himself here. As the son of a high-placed Oyabun of the yakuza, the local yakuza, which ran this bar, felt a sort of grudging respect for Akado. He was a metahuman, so the Japanese were prejudiced against him, but he was a troll and a physical adept to boot, so they hired him on as a bouncer at the door.

11:00. His shift was up. Akado turned and went inside - careful to use the staff passages, so he didn't disturb any of the other high-class Japanese clientele who would be shocked at the sight of a troll.

"Got a job for you."

Turning, he saw a little, rat-like man standing in the doorway. His fixer, Bardini.

"What kind?" Akado asked.

"Simple extraction. Seems the other fixers got a jump on me with this one, there's already a team assembled. Pays 25,000. Interested?"

"Sure," the troll nodded. "Where do I need to go?"

"The rest of the team's up at the Union Hotel, in a private room. When you get there, tell the doorman Bardini sent you, and he'll send you into the right room."

Siren

“Good job, Mr. Spring-Heel,” Siren says appreciatively. “So, you think we should go with the DocWagon plan? Or does anyone have any alternate ideas? How about finding out, whether visitors can enter the campus site and hear lectures there? Would that be a possible way for some of us to get in?”

"Having a magician to be able to take a look at the place himself could be a good idea. I like the idea of the lectures..."

"Hey kid, wanna make a buck? Here's 5Y. Make sure noone touches my bike, and there's another 5 for you when I get back. And if someone did I'll find ya and feed ya to the devilrats, ya hear?"
The troll dismounts the big Harley, and gives a fiver to the young ganger lounging idly on the corner, making sure the youngster notices how the troll takes a good look at his gang colours and his face.
He walks over to the doorman, and asks for "bardini's room". He slowly walks through the lounge, looking around, seeking the small signs of the security system, and looking for "alternate exits", should bad come to worse.

Someone knocks politely on the door, interrupting your conversation. Whoever opens the door finds himself face-to-face with a muscled troll of japanese descent. He's fairly short for a troll, but masively muscled, and he moves with tha grace of a tiger. His two big horns are fairly symmetrical, and his hair is pulled back into a topknot.

He walks in and looks around, scanning evryone, looking anyone who has pulled a gun in the eyes, with a small laugh on his lips, quite unafraid.
"Good evening, ladies, gentlemen. I am Akado, also known as "the Bull". My fixer has told me you were expecting, well, maybe not me, but someone of a similar 'attitude'. I am a close-combat specialist, and a bodyguard. We're planning an extraction?"

Spring-Heel nods in the direction of the newcomer. "Extraction it is. Good evening." Then, "Personally, I'm rather partial to the DocWagon idea, or at least my more dramatic side is. Although I must admit, gaining entry to hear a lecture is a capital idea as well. I imagine the mages would have a better chance there, however."

"I'd be willing to attend a lecture and tour the campus as a prospective student, if you can arrange it for me. I have been educated well enough that I can fit in in that environment. My magic should ensure it. Siren should be able to get a tour as well, our Talents should make the difference. We will just have to be careful that no one connects us to the extraction, our earlier presance might allow their magical Security to connect us to anything we might have to do as part of the extraction."

“I don't think we should both go, however, two new magically active elven students might arouse more attention than we might want, up to the point where it becomes more of a hindrance.”

Turning her attention to the new arrival, Siren looks up a few feet and smiles. “Hello, Mr. Bull, and welcome to the team. Please have a seat. My name is Siren.”

The Bull

Casting an indifferent look at the "the ancients" gang colours and symbols, Akado makes an excuisitly neutral bow at the elven ganger-mage, and says "Pleased to meet you, siren.", carefully removing every trace of emotion from his voice and face.

Too street-rough to be a go-ganger wannabee. An ancients member shaking hands with a bleedin' troll? Better figure out what she wants from me before I get burned. Goddamn pointy-ears rampaged through the 'burbs only two weeks ago killing three trolls and five orcs.

He takes a seat next to her and listens attentively to the discussion, trying to figure out what the hell is going on before voicing his own opinions.

Spring-Heel sits back in his chair, listening to the magicians' plans. "Alternately," he points out, "we could use the library in place of a lecture, as it were. As Mr. Thorn said earlier, the University is quite well known as a repository of magical knowledge. This way, Mr. Bull here could tag along. Nobody would think twice about two mages and an adept consulting their magical texts, I'm sure. While you're in there, perhaps we four-" he indicates the two orks, Jake and himself "-could begin working on the DocWagon ruse."

Good. Now that the little complications at work are straightened out, I'm back in business. ;)
