Stargate/Dragonstar Season 1, Part 1 - Childern of the Gods

Never too much the military man unlike his father, Wolfe keeps the sardonic comment from escaping his lips, all this fantastical enough to be in one of the video games he'd play to release stress. However his large brown eyes soak in the stargate and all the oddities with fascination.

Turning to the others he cracks a grin and says "might as well be on with it."

"Chevrons One Engaged!"
Warning sirens flare as the on the right inside 'circle' of the Stargate, a lock snaps forward onto one of the runes there. It continues to turn…
"Chevrons Two Engaged!"
…this time the lock snaps forward on the left inside rune of the turning circle…
"Chevrons Three Engaged!"
…another lock onto another rune. There is a slight vibration that can be felt along the wall, it is slight but seems to be building…
"Chevrons Four Engaged!"
…as the vibrations in the floor seems to increase… it can almost be found in the vary air now…
"Chevrons Five Engaged!"
…more sirens blast and light flare, the vibrations are starting to hurt your teeth…
"Chevrons Six Engaged!"
…there is a slight glow coming from within the Stargate, as the vibrations increase…
"Chevrons Seven Engaged! Portal Activated!"
…when there is a huge burst of energy seems to slam into the Stargate, a white blast of light almost blinds you all, and a load 'boom' of wind and sound batters the gate room. Within seconds that gate seems to stabilize, and you see what can only be described as a watery flat plane… and past that? A forest of ancient trees, deep in the grips of winter with snow and ice clinging to everything.

General Hammond steps forward, shaking each of your hands, saluting and giving a final "Good luck" when he gets to Major Torie he salutes and says "Good luck to you Major. If at all possible, and you need assistance, I will do everything I can. But I cannot stress it enough, that in one week, I will have to bury this gate. If you are your team have not contacted us by then I will have no choice. God's speed son…"

Then you are moving up the ramp and heading for the gate… the 'event horizon' (or whatever those egg-heads called it) simmers and ripples like a calm water surface. Major Torie, the first to approach knows what to expect… slimy and dry like sand paper at the same time. Well no reason to put this off and he steps through…

It takes almost five minutes to get both SG-1 and SG-2 and all your equipment through to the other side. Both teams have spread out to cover those still coming through and to watch for any danger that might be waiting for them.

Looking back one last time, you see the gateroom, General Hammond saluting, the Air Force Security personal with arms ready looking worried and in awe at the same time. Then the gateway shuts off with a final burst of energy… the gate closed and you are alone, somewhere in the universe where you should not be, and cold to bout. Not the best way to start.

As Major Torie starts to take in the area and figure out which way to go, a stone with something like Celtic symbol on it starts to glow with a faint green inner light. Taking an involuntary step back, both teams' eyes are draw to the glow.

Sounds like static and groaning seem to come from the 'rock', when a voice speaks up… in perfect English "Halt, intruders. You have entered the realm of her most terrible, most beautiful, most knowledgeable, most perfect of all the Dragon Lords… the Empress Morr'Rigan' daHath' Khan. You have passed through her gateway system without her expressed permission. Fall to your knees before her might and await her most loyal servants that you might be taken as slaves or put to your deaths for her glory. Be honored to suffer this fate and your souls may not fall into torment. Resist and you will know the pain of entirety"

As silence returns and the glow within the rock dies, one of the Sergeants from team two looks at one of the men standing next to him mutters "Looks like we are in Indian country now boys…"

Zander nod's towards Ben "Your orders sir?" then he flicks the switch on the MP-5 in his hands to 'auto' and look's about for any sign's of danger.

"What he said, boys," Major Torie grunts, jabbing a thumb over at Locke. "Don't know about you, but I'm not real thrilled about tangling with whatever said that until we know more about 'em. Rolling over and playing slave doesn't sound real great either. Come on - let's see if we can't find somewhere better to watch what happens..."

OOC: Gonna need to know more about the area.

Looking at the MP-5 slung over his shoulder Wolfe can easily recall the last time he fired one of these things or well virtually fired, Counterstrike still hadn't lost its appeal after all these years, guess firing a real one would add a whole new dimension to it.

"At least they have a nice answering machine. I agree, let's find a better place before Mory or some of her bears check the gate.
It would have been a nice change of pace not to have a dragon lord. Ra was bad enough."

[occ]oops yep that should have been eternity hehe ah sorry about that [/occ]

The area that you are in is a clearing in heavily forested woods, with about a foot of snow on the ground around you. There is a trail straight ahead that disappears around a bend about 100 feet from where you are. A large number of 'someone's' have moved back and forth down the trail sense the last time it has snowed, as there are a lot of footprints back and forth from the gate. The snow is fairly loose and fresh, and as you are looking around it starts to lightly snow again. If you moved off the trail you would leave prints but as the snow is fairly light and fresh it could cover your trail without much difficulty. The woods are thick, but you could move through them without to much problem…

You can't see the sun as there is a thick cloud cover, so you are not sure which way is which but you should be able to find your way back here, as there is a 'magnetism' somewhere and your compasses are pointing that way (not sure if it north, but it is a steady direction)
