Thumbs up on the new three-column front page layout

I had assumed the increased number of images on the front page might have caused too much load on the server so it got slow. If it's not that, then something else is causing load times even above a minute for image assets for me since the change (Chrome network trace attached below).

The scrolling banner will increase 'em, though. Same is true of other sites when they add scrolling elements or animations to a page.

There is a noticeable load time lag with the new format. It’s not just subjective.

Load times are back in the normal range so thank you for looking into that! I’m not loving the carousel, but some of that is the header.

Can you look at the header at the tablet breakpoint? I’m on an iPad Air 4th gen and the new logo and the horizontal banner ad don’t fit well. They stack instead of showing inline which pushes all the content down. So instead of seeing the latest content I’m seeing just the slider.

The header hasn't changed... I only altered the columns from 2-3.

Sorry, I should have been more clear - the header has looked like that since the new logo was introduced. It was just with the introduction addition of the carousel that it became a nuisance by pushing new content below the fold.
