OOC: Surprise round, and Pendrake's fine. So I'll roll everyone's initiatives, to speed things up.

Initiatives: Cepheus, Aiken, Solange; Pendrake; Goblin Shaman; Goblins; Goblin Dogs (1d20+2=11, 1d20+2=6, 1d20+1=19, 1d20+6=17, 1d20+3=16, 1d20+1=9, 1d20+2=17)

ROUND ONE:

Solange begins to summon an angelic creature. A holy light surrounds her as she makes contact with the celestial round.

Pendrake moves forward and slashes the small gobglin woman with his blade. Her lips curl back in pain, unprepared for the northerner's attack.

The goblin dog is released, and charges Pendrake. The attackHits (6 points damage), with the dog latching down on Pendrake's leg.

The shaman takes a step backwards (five foot step) and then howls "What's stopping you! Kill him, you fools!" (bardic song). She keeps shouting, and jumping about wildly, to direct the two goblins.

There isn't much room for Cepheus to fire a crossbow. Pendrake blocks the stairs, and there's five feet in front of him before the goblin shaman, and a dog directly to his right (And the rest of the room beyond). Cepheus can fire at the Dog and the Shaman (both would get an AC bonus) without moving - moving into the room would provoke an AoO. (ANYWAYS, CEPH CAN STILL MAKE AN ATTACK HERE)

The two goblins have already let go of the dog, and scramble for crossbows. Both pop up from behind their cover, and pop off shots at Pendrake. However, because he's in a fight (and they're trying to avoid hitting the dog), one shot goeswild, but another hits (Forgot to add the morale bonus - 3 points of damage).

Aiken flips past the dog, deftly avoiding the pre-occupied beast. He lands next to the shaman, and tries to make an attack, but misses, still dizzy.

END OF ROUND ONE.

Pendrake is in a swingin groove...he focuses himself and places the edge of the longsword easily between the defenses of the shaman witch, slicing her once more...he only makes an occasional sound of a grunt of effort. his single minded vengeful attack ending only one way, her death.

attack:long Sword att+6 dam 1d8+3 crit 19-20x2 type s (1d20+6=21, 1d8+3=4)

]ooc[ugh, this is going to be a slow death for her...twice i was given minimal damage.]/ooc[

Round Two

...and to all a good night.

(ha, forgot it was U.S. Thanksgiving. You yanks are so weird. ;) )

Solange summons her celestial badger, which flanks the dog attacking Pendrake. It attacks (note: it doesn't get a +1 on those attacks, since it really attacks before Solange casts her Bless - but it doesn't matter, since the +1 doesn't come into play) furiously, hitting the dog with both claw attacks.

Pendrake again slices at the shamanic woman, right across her face. There is a nasty slash that almost blinds her; but she still stands. However, she is definately woozy. (OOC: I forgot to ask for a Fort save from being bitten last round by the dog - so I made one. Fort Save for Pendrake (1d20+5=10))

Pendrake feels very itchy, and his skin breaks out in a rash throughout his leg. (Penalty added below)

The Dog tries to bite again, despite being seriously wounded, but misses.

The Shamanic woman hisses in pain, but knows she is surrounded. She takes a five foot step to the side (but still within AoO range) before trying to cast a spell. She Succeeds (27) and casts the same confusion spell on Pendrake once more (Will Save!)

Cepheus bolt slams into the dog. It whimpers, and falls to the ground, dead. Cepheus then tries to reload his crossbow as quickly as possible.

Both goblins reload their crossbows, and see the gnome. ```GNOME!`` they shout, and fire at him.

Goblin attack on Cepheus (1d20+3=14, 1d6=5, 1d20+3=23, 1d6=1)
Crit Confirmation (1d20+3=14, 1d6=4)

One bolt hits Cepheus, breaking the armour but barely piercing the skin. (1 dmg, +1 from Bardic Bonus)

Aiken advances upon the Shamanic woman, but cannot strike her. He is now set up so that he can five-foot step and flank next round.

END OF ROUND TWO
