Just one.

I'm sending Pinkertons to talk to those who have done otherwise.

This is a next to impossible conversation to have, because some folks always get real worked up about an objectively subjective opinion. But obviously the correct answer here is Star Trek and The Lord of the Rings.

Sir, Miss, or They, this is not the unpopular opinions thread.

Contemplating this, I realized that, sadly, I have soured or tired on many, if not most bigger franchises. So, I think I'll pick Lord of the Rings, because still enjoy occasional deep dives into the mythology of Middle-earth, or watch scenes from the Peter Jackson trilogy, and because hearing "Concerning Hobbits" makes me smile :)

I mostly don't pay attention anymore to additions to things I love. I love the lord of the rings, but didn't bother with rings of power. I love the dune books, but don't bother with anything written by his son. I'm fine with them existing and other people enjoying them, but I found they were making me tire of the originals, and I didn't want that. Nowadays, I just don't engage with sequels/spinoffs/remakes of my favorite things.

It might not work for everyone, but it's actually been pretty nice for me.

Especially since Decipher had licenced rpgs that used the same mechanics which made both games compatible :)
