The dungeon claimed it's second victim tonight. May the world remember Cade Thorngage, the self proclaimed "Security Consulant" who was the (rather) innocent victim of Seraxes in E7.

Alas! A bad day at red lava.

Last night's encounters proved hard for our intrepid band, and several more adventurers met their much-deserved DOOM!

Let these heroes be named to the roll of honor:

Feldercarb the Chaste, who really met his end this time in G74. 31415 xp.

Shag Rabbit the Sorcerer. In G75, he learned the horse is mightier than the elf. 61230 xp.

Jibjib, kobold follower of dragons, also dead in G75. 60040 xp.

Gregorrrrr McGregorrrrr, mighty Scottish hero, also dead in G75. Always one to be different, he got eaten by Shag Rabbit's out-of-control zombie wyvern minion. 9860 xp.

cheers,

Hitokiri

Wish to pay my respects to two more of the fallen.

Urik the Insightful: dwarven mage, lvl 6. Turned to stone by what he refered to as "an overgrown chicken!"
Glamorgem: gnome bard, lvl 5. Also fell to the cockatrice

Gone but never forgotten.

The WLD has added another noble being to its list of fallen heroes.

Dugan Steeledge, the gold dwarf paladin of Moradin fell to a barghest in room E48/E49.

His soul may have been eaten, but he is not forgotten.

Farewell to another

Farewell to the Avariel elf, cleric/wizard, Shawn-mar.

Your friends remembered to duck when the fireball appeared. You decided to spread your wings and leave the clean silhouette of an angel in what is now a charred corridor.

Farewell to Gronk, a friendly Ork from room A3. You made friends with the party and fought by their side. A pity random encounters aren't as easy as you thought.

Yesterday Lord Altan, the Avalonian warmage (L4) from Valon, fell victim to the firetrap at A46 [powered up to 4d4 damage due to a large party of mostly level 4 PCs].
He'd be still alive, if it weren't for the fact that he had only 3 hp at the time, *and* for the flaw that caused him to react to fire damage like a creature of the "cold" subtype...

He was replaced by Cricket the half-ogre ninja, who later played a crucial role in taking down the kyton and the imp in the chain-filled hall of A103...

Murgleman, the halfling monk (level 4) died a terrible death three days ago defending the life of a helpless goblin against the vilest of shadows in the corridors of region B.

A climactic battle against the lords of Region G resulted in the deaths of Feldercarb the Unkempt, Faith the Demon Slayer, and Grok the Barbarian. But alas! A few timely angelic resurrections has led to them adventuring again.

There is one at least semi-permanent death to report, however. Farewell for now to:

The Ghost of Phat Masta P, who died (again) at G82 in an unholy blight crossfire. 63930 xp.

cheers,

Chris Aylott
