Help me name my blade

Recently, my 2nd lvl Halfling Cleric has came into possession of +1 Dagger of Returning. He is quite proud of the fact that he wields such a "mighty" weapon. Naturally, he feels that such a mighty deserves a name; after all, all powerful weapons in the story books have names!

I myself am unsure what the dagger should be called, so I ask you all for assistance. Help me come up with a good name for my Halfling mighty blade.

This reminds me that I always to build a dual-wielder (definitely daggers...or six-shooters for a Deadlands campaign) with weapons named, "Good News" and "Bad News" (which do you want first?).

blade name

that is a powerful dagger you have there and your right it should have a name
possible names:

The Sage Blade "Sage" for short- because it knows to return to it's owner

Nip- because of the low damage (d3 right) it takes nips out of monsters

CrossStar- what it looks like when it is returning

A descrition would be helpful what color is the hilt and what design is on it
mabye an unusal color like a green twinge to the blade or a special jewel in
the hilt that could help you to find a name

I would make the cross piece look l;ike wings and give it a birdlike name

Happy goblin bashing

It could reflect something in his faith or racial heritage. It could also reflect how he got it in the first place.

Other possibilities:

  1. Rover
  2. The Stirge
  3. Needle
  4. Mr. Beedle's Knife of Flying But Slow Deaths
  5. Scratch
  6. Wasp
  7. Fang
  8. Rose
  9. Bullseye
  10. Shard

(Order of the Stick Reference :) - he's a halfling that likes to stab things and then return to you so that you can bask in his victories... so why not also a good name for a dagger?)
