[Adventure] Trouble in Moonwatch (Judge: THB) - Part II

The poison coursing through his veins causes a moment of desperation in the Sivis gnome!

Without regard for safe magical practices, Pok super powers his illusory attraction spell, leaving a semitransparent zone of illusory treasures in the middle of the swamp, including piles of gold, gems, haunches of freshly cook meats, stuffed birds, and other delightful items.

The enemies begin moving toward the mound together, trying to horde the treasures to themselves. Kortauhk, Chomp-Chomp eat meat! Bring Storm! shouts Pok, attempting to coordinate his next move.

Shifting back behind his tree, breathing steadily, and occasionally coughing up viscous green ooze, Pok prepared his next spell.

Are you sure you want to put it at H9?

If you put it at G6, the croc (if affected) will be immobilized as well in addition to all three creatures being within a close burst 1 area (instead of 2 out of 3).

KaBOOOM

A massive thunderous explosion hits the Snake, pulling it towards the team. Sheeva leaps through the air and lands near the Mound.

KaBOOOM

A second massive thunderous explosion hits the Mound, driving it towards the team as well.

"So Feall, I've heard that snakeskin boots are all the rage back in Sharn. You really should make yourself a set." Sheeva laughs nonchalantly as if she were having tea with a friend, taunting the Snake.

"Oh, I should probably do something about that pesky crocodile as well."

A bolt of Lightning hits the Crocodile hard, pulling it towards the Mound and the Snake before ricocheting and hitting the Snake.

River keeps his focus and that time, shake off the effect of the snakekin.

Valahad calls out to Sheeva, "Nice job, just a bit closer now...." Even with the turning of the battle in their favor, the kalashtar's dual heritage can't help to shake of the daze from the electricity.

Valahad reverses his grip on his blade, but nearly fumbles the swamp-slicked blade into the muck.

Seeing the Mound shoved away from his relentless onslaught, Feall quickly uses the connection established through his ShadowSoul to bring himself back into range and gathers himself for an assault on the creatures psyche - however, his attempt to cloud the mind of the mound misses the mark.

Seeing the other enemies pulled towards him, Kortauhk's best idea of protecting his allies was to keep himself in the battle. Thankful of the storm spirits that continued to protect him and his allies, Kortauhk swung his blade at the scaly hide of the Crocodile, looking to help Valahad end the toothy threat once and for all.

"Bad Chomp-Chomp! You go away now! Kortauhk and peoples not be food! Go home! Shoo!", but his blow just misses.

The mound continues to assault the drow, but it fails to connect with one of the tendrils, again.

vs ac; dmg (1d20 12=25, 1d8 6=11, 1d20 12=20, 1d8 6=9) hits once for 6, but it bloodies you.
[/sblock]

The snake focuses on the treasure, jealously guarding it and hurling a ball of lightning at the gnome and goliath who seek to take it away. The ball of thunder slams into Pok and the force of the blow sends the gnome into the warm embrace of unconsciousness.

[sblock=ooc]
Screwed up the rolls, but the first one will be the one to go with. Pok's crit for 23, and ko'd & Korthauk is critically missed. Weird rolls.
vs fort (Pok, Kor); thunder (1d20 9=29, 1d20 9=10, 2d10 3=15, 1d20 9=21, 1d20 9=12, 2d10 3=12)

The crocodile gets frustrated with the lack of sweet meat around it and moves through the water, and the sudden movement leaves Valahad and Korthauk swiping at air as it moves away. It tries to bite at Feall, but the swirling vines just turn aside it's teeth.

[sblock=ooc]
vs ac; dmg (1d20 13=21, 2d8 5=21) wow, that was close, just missed from cover[/sblock]

[sblock=ooc]
Korthauk and Val's OA's (1d20 12=22, 1d8 6=10, 1d20 12=15, 1d8 8=9) 2 misses... ouch[/sblock]

[sblock=Nature DC 15]
Shambling mounds roam swamps and marshes. The common variety envelops its prey and crushes it with its rootlike tendrils. Shamblind Mounds recover their vitality quickly.

The insects are known as Swamp Striders and they carry a deadly poison when they bite. They are considered a delicacy for some nobles when properly roasted.
[sblock=Nature DC 20]
Shambling mounds are healed by lightning. They can envelop lesser sized creatures and drain their strength. [/sblock] [/sblock]

[sblock=Arcana DC 20]
The crocodile is known as a Feymire crocodile. A feymire crocodile hails from the untamed marshlands of the Feywild, although they inhabit worldly swamps as well. The crocodile constantly extends roots and tendrils into its surrounding environment to draw nourishment from it. The creature also has regenerative abilities, although the application of fire will stop it for a few seconds, similar to a troll [/sblock]

[sblock=Unlocked stats]
Crocodile - AC is 24, Will is 20, Fort is higher than 21
Mound - AC is lower than 28, Will is lower than 19
Snake - Fort is lower than 27, Ref higher than 17,

[sblock=OOC]

River calls Arawai to his help. Her holy energy flow from River and englobe the three enemies. The Mounds seems unaffected by it, but the Snake and Crocodile both starts to be distract by it. Valahad also feels the energy flowing through him but it help him to focus.

River then move further to Faell in hope to heal him soon.

[SBLOCK=OOC]Minor: Sustain Moment of Glory

Standard: Hymn of Resurgence [E4, I8] (Crocodile, Mound, Snake) (1d20+10=28, 1d20+10=11, 1d20+10=24) Should hit Snake and Crocodile. Anyone hit takes -2 def and if they are hit by any ally, they fall prone. That last UEoNT. Valahad either choose to gain 5 THP or make a saving throw.

Move: Move to F4[/SBLOCK]

Is that vs Fort? If so, yes both croc and snake are hit. Only Sheeva doesn't benefit from the +2 to hit this turn (but will next turn)[/sblock]

The nimble assassin feels the massive croodile approaching, and positions himself carefully. As the croc attacks, Feall slips aside - the beast instead strikes at his ally!

[sblock=OOC]Skald's Leather Armor Daily:

Immediate Interrupt
Trigger: An enemy targets you with a melee attack
Effect: The triggering enemy instead targets a creature of your choice adjacent to you.

(Here's hoping the Mound's AC is 21 or less . . .)
