D&D 5E magic items prices

tl;dr
No prices in the DMG for magic items reflects an illiquid market for magic items with very few buyers, sellers and items.

Those reasons also apply to everything else, yet I do not see any complaining that the armor prices are too static and need to be removed or be multi-dimensional.

It kind of depends: is there any magic item creation in the campaign. According to the DMG, that's up to the DM. If there is magic item creation, I kind of agree with you, if not, magic items might very well be several magnitudes more rare than mundane items, in which case my conclusion makes sense.

Since magic item creation is an option, I am guessing that they dropped having magic items priced, as that more or less assumes magic items can be created. You can always use the rules for creating magic items to get a rough estimate of the price.
