D&D 5E Any news on the Eberron Hardcover books' release date?

Heh, the exact reason I bought the book was to help show support for the product in the long run. I figured if they got money for the playtest material, the real deal was sure to follow, and have a much more broad-sweeping budget than they may have initially planned. Did the investment paid off individually, that is an overwhelming no - I barely used it. The 3.5 books, of which I owned everything Eberron, were just too easy to translate to 5e myself. Hopefully it will pay off overall, however.

And its for exactly this reason that no one who actually has played Eberron before really needs to buy the upcoming hardcover Eberron book. Nor why anyone really needed to buy the Wayfinder's Guide. Or needed to buy the 4E Eberron Player's Guide or the 4E Eberron Campaign Guide. Or the 4E Adventurer's Guide To Eberron or the 3E Player's Guide To Eberron. All of them have and will be repetitive re-written duplication of the same stuff we all received in the original 3E Eberron Campaign Setting other than a few game mechanics. Game mechanics that we've already received for free several times over. ;)

Hopefully we've all been paying attention these last 10 years and have noticed this. And made our purchasing decisions accordingly. LOL.

Well, they -tried- to change a lot in the 4e Eberron book, which we had to end up ignoring. My hope is that 5e has a bit more toned-down lore for worlds already with a following, and they can add something new to the information. So perhaps my hopes are fruitless, or even naive, but I'll hang onto them until I see the final product.

It's Eberron. I'll buy it anyway. :)

Personally, I'd love to see a time jump or some new interpretations of old material, but even if it's just a new presentation of 998 YK Khorvaire, I'll be happy.

Totally fair, I've thought about buying it for the same reason.

I bought it to show support. And I have wanted a "dead tree" version of 5e Eberron since 2015 and the first UA. I'm glad I got the WGtE as I've been running Eberron for a year with it, but I'm even gladder to be able to have a refined version with more stuff and the artificer in it.

As for the WGtE, I think they will do one final update when the new book comes out that finalizes any material in it (like races) and then put a PoD version out. However, I don't expect new material like the artificer to be in it.

It says it's playtest content, both in the book itself and in its dndbeyond description, so I don't see how it's in any way dishonest.

I don't agree, but like Parmandur said, WotC has promised to do exactly that.

They've already said the finished Artificer will end up in the WGtE.

If I remember correctly, Mearls did say they'd put the Artificer in both Wayfinder's Guide and the hardback. But plans can change!

I know the KB Presents announcement is happening on Tuesday (called it as an AP created by Keith's industry friends via the DM's Guild), but the official book announcement will either happen tomorrow or Tuesday. I'm really surprised the title and cover hasn't already leaked like the Ravnica book and Eberron coming to the DM's Guild last year.

Or am I missing something....?
