I am part of a 3 player party playing at L8 and 2 of us are making second characters to fill out the party. I told my friend to make what he wants and I'll fill the last role w/something (currently I'm playing a Wizard). I have 5 characters made of level and the only one I have no real interest in is the Ranger. The Infernal Warlock looks like a lot of fun to play, the Warlord would mix well in the group, the Halfling Brawny Rogue I already picture w/a swagger and he's rather a badass. The character that had the most personality pop into my head for him tho is the Paladin.
Diplomat for his church, schooled in many languages (the wizard has all of em heh), he has signed treaties w/many of the more barbaric races nearby. He's a half elf and picked up Tide of Iron so he can get in the fray and help defend his allies, pop some good heals off and use his Charisma bonus to good effect all around.
I hated Paladins in earlier editions. I wanted to like them, but Lawful Stupid (and alignments in general really) was not something I enjoyed. As a worshiper of Pelor, he's Good, but there is a lot more grey in alignment these days. I'm pumped and kinda hope my friend doesn't go for Artificer, cuz then I would probly wanna make a better damage dealer heh. Fighter, Cleric, Wizard before we add extras.
