Character Concepts: Gish (F/MU) and Teleporter Mage

Overall I liked the article as it exposed me to some of the multiclassing tricks.

But the warrior-wizard one really torques me and I hope they fix it ASAP.
Peter's initial stance that the character is sword-and-wand... makes sense (and the art supports it) but then he gives the character a heavy shield and tide of iron. WTF? Then throughout the article it assumes the character is sword-and-board when that's convienent and sword-and-wand at other times. But I don't think the intent is to switch like that; rather, I think two concepts got mashed together and it wasn't caught in editing.
Also, the paragon path states Spiral Tower but then goes on to ignore that and build him as a multiclass paragon.

Please edit the article and repost, as I'd really like to see how this character was intended to be built! I also agree that this character should probably be human or half-elf, not eladrin.

And here I came to the thread thinking that they gave advice for playing githyanki :(.

1. I will join my fellow rodent on his crusade...
2. The article was okay but not much thought provoking.
3. I liked the art ;).

Y'know, that might've been a grand article: the warrior/mage done as a githianky, and rightfully called a gish...

Hmm...

"Hurry, Robin! To the Bat-character sheet!"

"Seriously Epic"? More like "Very much suited for adult films aimed at gentlemen who are exceedingly friendly to other gentlemen".

Having never seen such films myself, I'll just have to take your word for it.

But I was more thinking of Teddy Roosevelt, a turn-of-the-century badass and America's last Adventurer-President. So, it qualifies as epic as far as I'm concerned.

.

He can't take Paragon multi-classing and also Spiral Tower.

He can't make use of Spiral Tower with a Bastard Sword.

I'm almost certain the part about Spiral Tower paragon was supposed to read something like "And if you'd prefer not to paragon multiclass, taking the Wizard of the Spiral Tower paragon path is a good choice"

I think that because the build presented doesn't use the Spiral Tower path. It uses paragon multiclassing. There's no mention of Spiral Tower paragon path powers.

It should be edited to make that clear of course.

PS: Otherwise it looks like a fun character. Not sure about the wand/shield thing. I have to read it more closely (can't right now), but does he trade out the Tide power later? Choosing one-handed over a two handed weapon is the long-term choice. If you specialize two handed, you'll never be able to hold the implement in one hand. If you go sword and board, you can always give up the board later.
